Mind – We will endeavour to develop independent learners who can solve Mathematical problems both by following an algorithm or process and by thinking creatively and critically for other solutions. The answer is only the beginning in Mathematics, not the end point. We will intersperse our curriculum with tasks that provide engagement with meaning as well as to answer questions in an assessment.
Body – The mathematics will provide students with the opportunity to be responsive rather than be a passive sponge for information. The key knowledge of formulae and Mathematical processes, however, will play a significant role in laying the foundations for creative ideas.
Spirit – We want to teach our students to be curious about the world and to be able to articulate a passion and understanding for the awe and wonder of Mathematics.
